UNP THE OLDEST POLITICAL PARTY IN SRI LANKA CELEBRATED ITS 70 TH ANNIVERSARY IN GRAND SCALE WITH EXCELLENT MEDIA COVERAGE -

The 70 th anniversary of of UNP marks a significant impotence to the public and political interest groups and politicians as well, as the UNP leader Prime Minister Ranil Wicramasinghe along with the hierarchy of the party attended , where the Ex-President Chandrika Bandaranayake also the ex-president of SLFE and President Maithripala Sirisena who is also the current president of SLFE , graced the occasion and added glamour in spite of been in opposite camps since 1951, The late PM SWRD Bandaranayke broke away from the UNP to from the SLFP, where the 65th Anniversary was celebrated few weeks back in the same manner .

Late first PM of Sri Lanka D.S.Seanayake is considered to be the founder of UNP and late PM S.W.R.D.Bandaranayake who broke away from the UNP and formed the SLFP . The daughter of the founder of the SLFP S.W.R.D.Bandaranayake , coming forward to patch up the differences and seems to be uniting under one common theme , which needs to be seriously analyzed , which is a new political culture with the blessing of President Maithripala Sirisena. The benefits of the new culture yet to be tested by both parties in the public eyes and best is to hold local government election to assess the opinion and state of performance .

What’s impotent for the 20 million population is what benefit we have gain so far from Yahapalanaya ( Benefits Of Good Governance ) and until an election is held and the below will help to assess the level of performance to you self,

TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE OUT COME BY ANSWERING THE BELOW 4 QUESTIONS BY CONSIDERING WHAT THE YAHAPANAYA ( CHANGE) PROMISED TO THE COUNTRY AND YOUR SELF…

1. WHAT IS THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE COUNTRY POST CHANGE ?
2. WHY IS THE COUNTRY IN THIS SITUATION POST CHANGE ?
3. WHERE DID WE WANTED TO BE WITH THE CHANGE ?
4. WHAT ACTIONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO GET TO WHERE WE WANTED TO BE POST CHANGE ?
